Background Music

Enhance your recordings with background music to create a more polished and engaging experience.

Adding Music

Recorded includes a library of preset music tracks. Open the Music tab in the editor to browse the available tracks. Click a track to preview it — it will auto-play so you can hear how it sounds with your recording.

Select a track and enable the toggle to add it to your recording.

Volume Control

Use the volume slider to adjust background music volume from 0% to 100%. Set it low enough that it doesn’t compete with your narration or system audio — typically 10–30% works well for voice-over recordings.

How It Works

The background music is mixed with your existing audio tracks (microphone and system audio) during export. It plays for the entire duration of the recording, so choose a track that complements the length and tone of your content.

Tips

  • Keep it subtle — Background music should enhance, not distract. A low volume setting is usually best.
  • Match the mood — Choose upbeat tracks for product demos and calmer tracks for tutorials.
  • Consider your audience — If your recording is for professional or corporate use, a simple ambient track works better than something with a strong beat.
