Used well, they turn a plain capture into something that feels intentional and polished.

Where to Find Effects

Open a recording in the video editor and select the Effects tab in the right-hand panel. Each effect has its own toggle, so you only pay the rendering cost for the ones you actually enable.

Motion Blur

Screen recordings often have unnaturally crisp motion — cursor moves and window drags can look jittery because every frame is perfectly sharp. Motion blur adds the kind of natural blur a camera shutter would produce.

Effects are rendered live in the preview and again at export time:

  • Motion blur is the most GPU-intensive effect, especially at high sample counts. If preview playback stutters, lower the sample count or disable preview while you fine-tune other settings.
  • Color correction and sharpness use lightweight Canvas filters and have minimal performance impact.
  • Vignette is a simple overlay and essentially free to render.
